This site earns money one way: GetYourGuide pays me a commission when somebody books a tour after following a link from here. You pay no more for booking through my link than you would by going to GetYourGuide directly.
How it works
Every booking link, tour card and availability widget on this site points to GetYourGuide, which is the licensed marketplace the six tours are sold through. Each link carries a partner code that tells GetYourGuide the booking came from here. If you book, they pay me a share of their commission. If you look and do not book, they pay me nothing, which is the usual outcome and is fine.
What it does not do
It does not change what I write. The ratings and review counts on this site are the live GetYourGuide figures, printed as they are, which is why the reviews tell you that one tour is rated 5.0 by three people and another is rated 4.7 by three hundred. A perfect score from a tiny sample earns the same commission as a solid score from a large one, and I am still going to tell you which is the sturdier number.
It also does not make me a tour operator. I am an independent writer, not part of the Christiania community, the Foundation or the residents’ guide group, and the full position is on the about page.
Entering Christiania itself costs nothing, and you never need this site or a tour to walk through the gate. Do you need a ticket covers that, and guided against self-guided makes the honest case for going in alone.
