Christiania tour reviews
Six guided tours on this site go inside Freetown Christiania, and they are not equally well evidenced. The Christiania and Christianshavn walking tour carries 4.7 from 300 reviews, which is far and away the strongest record here. Two of the others are rated 5.0 from single-figure samples. I have reviewed all six on what they actually do, who they suit and where they fall short.
How I read these numbers
A rating without a review count tells you almost nothing. Three people can hand a guide a perfect score on a good afternoon; three hundred people cannot, and a 4.7 that survives three hundred opinions has absorbed the rainy mornings, the late arrivals and the guide who was having an off day. So the walking tour’s 4.7 is the most reliable figure on this site, and the two 5.0 scores at the bottom of the table are promising rather than proven.
The second thing I look at is how much of the tour is actually spent inside the gate. Most of these are Copenhagen tours that include Christiania, not Christiania tours. That is not a complaint, it is just worth knowing before you book. If the Freetown is the whole reason you are going, read guided against self-guided first.

If you want one answer: the walking tour. Two hours on foot, a group capped at ten, and the review record to back it up. If you would rather cover the city and drop into the Freetown along the way, the bike and e-bike options do that better than any walk can. If you need a language other than English, or you are travelling with someone who cannot keep a group’s pace, look at the private tours. The full line-up sits on all tours.
